The Galleries:
Travel between story worlds and discover a surprise round every corner with an all-day ticket to the Galleries. Begin your journey in our Portal, your entrance into a world of stories, then wander a mysterious indoor forest where every tree has a story to tell and a secret to reveal in the Whispering Wood. Explore a magical world of stories in the Enchanted Library, enjoy the Treasure Chamber’s current exhibition, and finally head to The Story Arcade and level-up your imagination!
Small Worlds:
Welcome to a patchwork land of picture books, nursery rhymes and traditional tales for the very young.
Explore five story-themed zones where you can go on a Bear Hunt, discover Traction Man’s under-sink world, relax in the Night Safe, ride on the Story Bus, play in our Elmer the patchwork elephant storytelling space, and enjoy a bedtime story our giant bed.
Small Worlds sessions are timed sessions (at 10:15, 11:45, 13:15, 14:45 during term-time opening hours, and with an additional session at 16:15 during holiday opening hours) and last one hour. They begin with a song together, followed by a story told by one of our Story Guides with lots of opportunities for joining in. Then you’ll have time to explore the Small Worlds story-themed areas before coming back together for another story at the end.
We recommend booking in advance – and please bring your card with you to show our Box Office on your arrival.
Access Information: Mainly wheelchair accessible (Narnia installation isn’t accessible), disabled toilets, guide dogs welcome.
2 kids go free per full-paying adult for Museum admission (Galleries and Small Worlds).
