A TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner, Matlock Farm Park provides a great day out with varied activities for all the family. The park has a wide selection of animals to see including llamas, goats, peacocks, deer, meerkats and wallabies to name but a few.
There are activities to get involved with throughout the day, such as meerkat feeding, wallaby encounters and even ferret and sheep racing!
The pet rabbits are always a favourite with the children as is the opportunity to feed young lambs (seasonally). Children will learn about the countryside, experience the many joys of the farm and have tremendous fun as they do so. Also visit some of our animals in the new animal barn The Ark.
There is an on-site riding school offering lessons for all abilities and treks for the experienced rider. Pre-booking is essential. For little ones who would like a short pony ride, these are available at weekends and during school holidays at just £2.50 a go, with no need to book.
There are specially designed playgrounds, a tots area and even a go-kart track for the kids. There are regular events held throughout the year too. With an onsite licensed café offering a wide range of hot and cold food. There is the new indoor play barn The Rainforest this also includes a soft play area for the tots, here the adults can sit back and relax whilst their children enjoy the wonders of Matlock Farm Park.
