Live Theatre

Live Theatre has an international reputation as a new writing theatre. A high proportion of its plays regularly tour to other venues across the UK and internationally. As well as producing and presenting new plays, Live Theatre seeks out and nurtures creative talent. It has the largest free drama education and participation programme in the region.

Live Theatre has a flexible and welcoming theatre space, studio, rehearsal room and writers’ rooms in a unique historical setting, on Newcastle’s Quayside.
Family Max Card holders can get £3 tickets to selected plays for the named young people, subject to age guidance. An adult must accompany the young person.

Young people aged 25 and under can get tickets from £6 for selected plays. When a carer companion is essential to enable an individual to access the theatre, a 2 for 1 ticket is available through Box Office in person or by phone.

Young people aged 11-25 can to join Live’s Youth Theatre which meets weekly at Live Theatre and satellite venues, applications are open termly, involve no auditions and is free for participants and open to young people of all abilities. All concession tickets are subject to availability and age guidance. Not available with any other offer. Appropriate documentation must be shown. Concessions and tickets are at the discretion of the theatre.
