The Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum is unique in that it is the only museum located on the actual site of a former ironstone mine. The history of ironstone mining in Skinningrove as depicted by the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum is of local, regional, national and arguably even international importance.
The museum shop offers for sale a variety of reasonably priced souvenirs for both adults and children, including a wide selection of publications on the history of ironstone mining in Cleveland.
