Over the years, Chequer Mead Theatre has become a vibrant hub of cultural activity in East Grinstead. We host an enormous variety of professional and amateur productions, attracting both local talent within our community, as well as touring companies. The theatre also offers educational programs and workshops throughout the year, as well as supporting many of the local schools who perform their annual shows at the theatre.
Access Information:
We have specific areas for optimum wheelchair access in the auditorium, so we ask that wheelchair users book in advance to enable us to allocate these seats as well as help you during your visit. The Box Office and Front of House staff are trained in accessibility and are on hand to answer any questions.
At present, wheelchair seats can only be booked with our Box Office, either over the phone or in person.
Please book over the phone or at the venue but please present your Max Card at the box office when collecting your tickets.
