Built in 1865 with its magnificent gothic bell tower and stunning fascia, Clifftown United Reformed Church has been one of the finest sites in Southend for over a century. Purchased in 2008, it was transformed into a stunning state-of-the-art Theatre and performance space and awarded the Southend Society’s ‘Clifftown Award’ for 2010. With 5 rehearsal studios and a dynamic theatre space, Clifftown Theatre & Studios has given rise to a diverse range of shows, workshops, summer schools, community events and professional touring productions, and is home to the world renowned East 15 Acting School.
