RSPB Fairburn Ings is a great place for families to visit any time of the year; there are fun activities and events to keep everyone entertained, feed the ducks and swans from the feeding platform, try your hand at pond dipping and play in our wildlife play area with the giant dragonfly and spider’s web swing.
There are buggy friendly footpaths which take you through the reserve, giving you the chance to see all sorts of different wildlife, from blue tits to butterflies, kingfishers to dragonflies, plus loads more. There is a visitor centre selling hot and cold drinks, pies, sandwiches, ice creams and cakes, plus a wide range of RSPB products.
